EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing):
Imagine your mind like a river. Sometimes, difficult experiences create a dam, blocking the natural flow and causing distress. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): At its core, EFT helps you understand and work with your emotions, recognizing them as powerful guides to your needs and motivations. It emphasizes strengthening emotional connections and processing deeper emotional experiences, often rooted in attachment patterns, to foster secure bonds both internally and in relationships
Ego state parts work therapy is a powerful approach that views the human personality not as a single, unified whole, but as being made up of various "parts" or "ego states." These parts are distinct facets of our personality, each with its own thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and memories, often formed in response to different life experiences.
For example, you might have an "inner child" part that carries past hurts, a "manager" part that keeps you organized, or a "critic" part that pushes you. In therapy, we work to identify and understand these different parts, learning their roles and their intentions (which are always positive, even if their methods are challenging). The goal is not to get rid of these parts, but to help them communicate and cooperate more effectively, resolving internal conflicts and healing any wounded or "stuck" parts.
